D-LAN File Sharing
This guide is from a LAN that has ended, so information might be irrelevant and/or incorrect
Because that 240gb Hentai collection won’t share itself.

D-LAN is a piece of free software which allows you to exchange large amounts of data over the LAN network.
Installation
- Download the version for your operating system from d-lan.net and install.
Searching
- To search all the files everyone has shared on D-LAN, type a search term in the search box in the top left
Browsing Computers
- To browse what someone has shared on D-LAN, double click their computer in the list on the left
Downloading Files
- Double click a file or folder to download it
- The first time you download a file, you will be asked where to save it
- Everything in the folder you choose to download to will be shared! - It’s usually best to choose an empty folder to avoid this
Sharing Files
- If you have some useful files to share with your fellow attendees, click the Settings tab and then the green + icon
- Any folder you add will have to be hashed before it becomes available - this is a CPU intensive task, so if you don’t have a beefy computer, quit D-LAN while you’re gaming
